Web16 dic 2010 · However, if the angle is too high, the shaft will vibrate and fail. Hence the reason most go with a double cardan at the t-case end and a single UJ at the pinion end. You can't adjust t-case angle, but you can adjust pinion angle. I know you are talking about a rear shaft, but I'll mention this for reference anyway.

That shudder isn't caused by the pinion angle, it's caused by excessive u-joint angles caused by a driveshaft that has become too steep from a suspension lift.
