WebFeb 27, 2024 · It depends on where the overflow outlet is located. An API 650 tank design pressure is for that pressure with the tank full. So the pressure at the bottom of the tank will be the liquid head plus the pressure in the vapor space. That will be well above 400 mmh2o. ------------------------------ Robert Clay, PhD, MBA, PE Sr. Associate Engineer WebJul 11, 2006 · Your basis is logical and correct but destined to give you enormous numbers because anything over (about) 20 fps is moving most of the water along with the gas flow. 45 fps definitely is heavily laden with water. (2 phase flow principles) Most flare lines are sized at about 350 - 400 fps for design flow so 5% flow hits the 20 fps mark.

WebAs indicated in figure-1, liquid seal at the flare stack base is essentially a cylindrical volume of liquid into which the gas inlet to flare stack is dipped. This volume allows the flow of flared gas from inlet pipe to the stack in form of bubbles rising through the liquid. WebSeal Pot Possible Specifications. WebMay 25, 2010 · Posted 25 May 2010 - 09:19 AM. I am in the process of designing a small 6.5 ft safety tank to be used for a H2 line. The tank is to have an overflow for water to an open drain and I have been trying to determine how tall the seal leg (water will overflow but the purpose of the seal leg is to keep the H2 from escaping the system) from the ...
